Originally from Canada, I moved to Japan a few years ago to my wife's hometown to help with the family and farm. Since then, I have dedicated myself to studying and appreciating the rich history, natural environment and vibrant local traditions of my new home. My deep interest in learning about the area's unique offerings has equipped me with the knowledge and insights needed to teach and guide clients, ensuring they experience the very best of what the region has to offer. I strive to provide a comprehensive and enriching experience for everyone I work with. 

Tour Philosophy

This Is Not Your Typical Tour

The weather and visibility of Mt Fuji will be a key factor on how your day will play out. My itinerary is not set and is not the same every day. It varies depending on how Mt Fuji decides to show herself, whether you want more of an adventure, or you are coming on honeymoon, or you are with your kids or elderly parents. ​​

 

This may be your first time in Japan and the Mt Fuji area and you have created the perfect itinerary for your whole trip. Please allow this day to be the one day where you come without a plan. Let me, your local guide, take care of the planning and details so you can relax and enjoy the experience. Trust in me to take you to the best places the day has to offer. My goal is for you to be fully immersed in the moment with the special person or people you have decided to come with.

 

​So you have an idea. Perfect weather days will be a balanced tour with a couple of touristy must visit places, cultural and historical spots, and off the beaten path local hidden gems. If the weather and visibility of Mt Fuji are not as good the tour shifts into capturing the essence of Mt Fuji and the experiences the area has to offer rather than pleasant vistas.​

⏰ Recommended Start: Between 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM

🚙 Local Pickup: Provided exclusively within the Fujikawaguchiko area. *Please inquire if coming from elsewhere

Pricing Per Group

  • 1 to 4 People: ¥90,000 ​

  • 5 to 6 People: +¥5,000 per additional person

>Note for Larger Groups & Families: For groups of 7 or more, or families traveling with children under 6, please inquire before booking so we can tailor the best possible arrangement for your needs.

Important Details

  • Lunch costs are not included. Many local spots require cash; we recommend having around ¥1,500–¥2,000 per person.

  • We do not go to Mt.Fuji 5th Station. Instead, we focus on the most scenic locations around the base of the mountain. This choice allows us to avoid heavy congestion and spend more meaningful time exploring the hidden gems and stunning landscapes that make this region so special.
