Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 13, 2026

By booking a tour with Konohana Ltd., operating as Johnny's Fuji Kawaguchiko Tours ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Bookings & payment

All bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Payment is processed securely via Square. For Exclusive Tours, on-site payment may also be arranged upon request. Bookings are accepted from a minimum of 1 participant.

2. Cancellation & refund policy

The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings:

  • 7 or more days prior to the tour: Full refund.

  • 3–6 days prior to the tour: 50% refund.

  • Within 48 hours of the tour: Non-refundable.

  • Cancellation by us: In the rare event that we must cancel a tour due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

Weather-related cancellation by guest. Our tours operate rain or shine, including light-to-moderate rain. We only cancel or adjust a tour when we determine that conditions (such as a typhoon, severe storms, or unsafe road conditions) make it genuinely unsafe to proceed. This determination is made solely by us. If a guest wishes to cancel due to weather concerns while we are still operating the tour as scheduled, the standard cancellation schedule above applies.

Health and mobility considerations. Where a guest has disclosed a health or mobility concern in advance, and our guide determines on the day that conditions are not suitable for that guest specifically — even where the tour is proceeding as normal for other guests — this determination is not treated as a cancellation by us, and the standard cancellation policy above applies.

Force majeure. Where a force majeure event (including but not limited to a natural disaster, government-imposed travel restriction, or severe weather causing flight cancellations, missed connections, or suspended transportation) prevents a guest from reaching us, we will issue a full refund to the guest's original payment method, provided supporting documentation (such as an official cancellation notice or travel advisory) is submitted as soon as reasonably possible. Where no such documentation is provided, the standard cancellation policy above applies.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or messaging app (e.g., WhatsApp). The cancellation date is the date on which we receive your written notice.

3. Itinerary & weather

Some locations are weather-dependent. When conditions are not suitable, the itinerary may be adjusted to ensure the best overall experience. By booking, you acknowledge that the itinerary is flexible and may vary depending on weather, visibility, and local conditions.

4. Safety & liability

While we prioritize your safety, by booking you acknowledge that participation is at your own risk. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our tours, except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to terminate a tour immediately if a guide determines that conditions pose a risk to the safety of participants or others, or if a participant's behavior is deemed threatening or disruptive. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

5. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
